Hyatt announced further plans to develop its Costa Rican footprint. The company is going into partnership with Cariari Premium Outlets S.A. to produce a new, 120-guestroom Hyatt Place property. Hyatt Place San Jose Cariari is slated to open in 2021, with construction starting in early 2020. The property joins Hyatt’s other hotels in Costa Rica, Hyatt Place San Jose Pinares and Andaz Costa Rica Resort at Peninsula Papagayo.

The new hotel sits less than a mile from the new Costa Rica Convention Center, in the San Jose Greater Metropolitan Area. The location is perfect for business travelers in the education or technology sectors, with its proximity to one of Costa Rica’s largest universities and a range of industrial and technology enterprises. The property is also less than a mile from Juan Santamaría International Airport.
