Hyatt recently grew its portfolio with the acquisition of Standard International, which includes The Standard, Bunkhouse Hotels, The StandardX and The Manner. Additionally, in the coming weeks, Hyatt will form a new dedicated lifestyle group to be headquartered in New York City. The new lifestyle group will comprise the Standard International team and Hyatt colleagues.
Following this acquisition, Hyatt guests and World of Hyatt members will enjoy a portfolio of iconic lifestyle hotels in some of the world’s most prominent hotel markets across the Americas, Europe and Asia. World of Hyatt members and Hyatt guests will also have above-and-beyond properties in desirable destinations like Bangkok, London, Ibiza, New York City, Miami, the Maldives and more. Restaurants and nightlife concepts like The Boom Boom Room, The Standard Grill, The Standard Biergarten, Lido Bayside Grill and Le Bain also await.
“The team behind Standard International has created a unique and award-winning portfolio of brands and properties that turn the status quo on its head and have attracted a loyal following among the most discerning lifestyle guests for the past 25 years,” said Mark Hoplamazian, president and CEO, Hyatt. “These properties truly drive the zeitgeist, creating destinations unto themselves with celebrated and talked-about programming and events, such as the Met Gala afterparty. We are thrilled to welcome Standard International’s properties and team to the Hyatt family with the newly created lifestyle group and draw on their brilliance, creativity, culture and innovation.”
