Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo launched several new experiences for guests this spring.
Just For You
The property’s signature Just For You program features luxurious activities unique to Monte Carlo, inspired by Monaco’s cultural offerings. New for spring, guests may take part in a private portrait painting experience with renowned French painter David Djiango. The hotel recently partnered with French leather maker Berluti. Guests may take a private workshop with an expert leather maker to learn the art of patina on leather.
Wine Tasting Series
Enjoy an intimate wine tasting led by the property’s sommeliers. The experience includes an explanation of the basics of wine and wine-making techniques. Sparklings Around the World will be held June 1–2. Other tasting events take place later this year.
Formula 1 Grand Prix of Monaco Viewing Party
The famous Formula 1 Grand Prix of Monaco takes place May 28. The property’s on-site Japanese restaurant YOSHI partners with Veuve Clicquot for a luxurious viewing party with views of the race.
Eco-conscious offerings
Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo recently announced a collaboration with Reforest’Action, a company dedicated to combatting deforestation through agroforestry. Guests may remotely plant a tree to contribute to part of the Amazon rainforest most affected by deforestation. In addition, the hotel banned plastic straws and all on-site restaurants serve seafood caught by responsible fisheries.

Jun 18, 2025W Costa Rica – Reserva Conchal Review
On Costa Rica’s north Pacific Coast, the tranquil, 150-room W Reserva Conchal is located in a 2,300-acre, government-protected wildlife preserve encapsulating much of the country’s incredible eco-diversity. Habitats include mangroves, estuaries and a tropical dry forest; these places are home to howler monkeys, coatis, iguanas, magpie-jays, and perhaps a jaguar... if you can tear yourself from your room, that is. My Spectacular Ocean Escape was exactly that, decked out in vibrant hues to mirror the expansive views of lush foliage and tropical flowers (and ocean beyond), while incorporating indigenous patterns of tico culture. Design details included a green leather headboard and free-form leather sofa, a blue and orange mural, and tropical hardwood furnishings and paneling. A surfboard was reimagined into a shelf for the coffee station in a clever nod to the region’s surfing culture. The massive bathroom’s oversized shower looks out onto the vegetation, and my balcony was the perfect nook to sip wine with a side of sunset.
