Venice receives its newest 5-star hotel, Ca’ di Dio, in May 2021. Set within a transformed ecclesiastical compound from 1272, the hotel overlooks Venice’s lagoon and is adjacent to Arsenale. The 66-room hotel includes 57 suites and nine deluxe rooms across three floors. Ten suites boast views of the lagoon and San Giorgio Maggiore island, and two suites have a roof terrace overlooking San Marco Basin.
Internal courtyards house Alchemia Bar and Essentia Restaurant. The indoor-outdoor VE-RO Restaurant overlooks the lagoon, with its cuisine inspired by traditional Venetian dishes, with many ingredients coming from Ca’ di Dio’s vegetable garden. Spa Pura will offer a state-of-the-art wellness program, and the hotel will host small meetings and events. An on-site boutique will offer Murano glass crafted exclusively for the property, which will also boast direct docking for water taxis and water-transfer cruisers.
