Hawaiian Airlines officially gives the world a glimpse into the interior cabin details of its new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, bringing guests a new class of premium service. The Leihōkū Suites, meaning garland of stars, features 34 suites, enveloping guests in a peaceful and elegant space with fully lie-flat seating.
Leihōkū Suites also feature 18-inch, in-flight entertainment screens; personal outlets; wireless charging; and direct aisle access. These suites are set in a 1-2-1 configuration with doors, providing guests with the option of both privacy and shared experiences. Combined double seats allow couples to fall asleep beneath a starlit ceiling. The airline’s development of these suites also marked Hawaiian Airlines as the first airline to partner with Adient Aerospace, a leader in automotive seats.

Seats offer more shoulder and hip room and include a 12-inch seatback monitor with USB-A and USB-C charging ports. The new interior also sees 79 Extra Comfort seats with more legroom and access to AC outlets.
Other unique designs found in the cabin include wind and wave shapes curving throughout the entryway and cabin, complemented by accents of deep aqua blue in the carpets and privacy dividers in the Leihōkū Suites. The Hawaiian language is also integrated into the space in seat row numbers and other placards to guide guests through the cabin.
Hawaiian Airlines plans to receive the first of 12 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners this November, with remaining deliveries slated through 2027.

Sep 22, 2023Cruise Alaska for Awe-Inspiring Adventures to Delight All Ages
I hadn’t even made it to my first cup of coffee when I got an early phone call from my sister, who lives two time zones away. “OMG, Kristy, Patsy Cline came on twice while I was driving the kids to school today,” she laughed. “You know what that means, right?” We both gasped and then instantly began singing the lyrics to “La Bamba,” an inside joke we’d shared since our family’s Alaskan cruise decades ago when we, unintentionally, won the ship’s karaoke contest among a sea of Patsy Cline tributes.
