Hawaiian Airlines passengers can bid for in-flight upgrades using the new Bid Up service. The auction-style platform enables passengers to bid on available first-class seats on flights between Hawai’i and North America. “We’re extremely excited to introduce Bid Up to our guests. We understand travelers have different options when planning trips to Hawai’i, which is why we’re committed to providing each guest with unique offerings and exceptional benefits,” said Miranda Scott, managing director, travel products, Hawaiian Airlines. Bid Up is available to all ticketed, main cabin passengers whose itinerary includes one or more segments between Hawai’i and North America. Those eligible will receive an email 10 days prior to their travel date, notifying them of the open auction. Any successful bidders will receive notification approximately two days before their travel date. Bid Up participants who win a first-class seat at their desired price will also enjoy two complimentary checked bags, expedited check-in, access to premier lounges, priority boarding, award-winning dining, unlimited beverage service, free entertainment and more.
