Hard Rock International leadership debuted a full-scale model of a Japan-bound entertainment resort during the Hokkaido International Resort Showcase on Jan. 9.
The model features full-scale representations of the proposed destination’s features, including the signature guitar-shaped hotel, a Four Seasons resort, a Hard Rock Live venue, a wellness center and 215,000 square feet of retail and dining space. The campus will also feature educational resources to raise awareness for the local indigenous Ainu people.
Jim Allen, chairman and CEO, Hard Rock International, also revealed a number of key partnerships for the complex. The partners include the New York Yankees, Four Seasons, Music Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame and Nederlander Worldwide Entertainment. Nederlander will bring Broadway and King Kong to Japan.
No opening date has been announced.
