The Hard Rock Hotel Davos arrives in the Swiss Alps this winter, according to Hard Rock International and partner Hospitality Service AG. It finds its home in the recently renovated Spenglers Hotel Davos, a property with 130 years of history.

Through a new spa and design features, Hard Rock plans to honor the structure’s, as well as the area’s, heritage, with elements recognizing two distinct regional names, Dr. Alexander Spengler and Willem Jan Holsboer. Spengler was the first doctor to open a people’s sanatorium in the area, as Davos became well known for its health benefits. Holsboer was responsible for planning access to Davos with a railway line.

Davos, conveniently accessible from Zurich, is the highest city in Europe and hosts the World Economic Forum. The hotel is situated close to shopping, dining and noteworthy attractions, as well as the train station, ski lifts, museums, a convention center and golf club.

When it opens in December, Hard Rock Hotel Davos will offer 111 redesigned guestrooms and 31 serviced apartments with one to three bedrooms. Three conference rooms are on site, and a historic chapel is available for event booking, along with its fully functioning organ. Of course, adventure travelers have access to a ski room for storing ski gear. A three-meal restaurant is located on the first floor’s terrace, and three bars include a high-end lobby bar, a private bar for tastings and events and a rooftop bar slated as the only Davos location with 360-degree views.

The Hard Rock’s signature offerings are available upon opening, including The Sound of Your Stay music amenity program and a Rock Spa.
