Grand Velas Boutique Los Cabos now offers a new program for guests called Tide to Table: Luxury Fishing Adventure & a Beachside Sashimi Dinner, an adventure that transforms a traditional fishing excursion into a crafted culinary journey. This experience combines Los Cabos’ world-renowned, deep-sea fishing with an intimate beachfront dining experience featuring the day’s catch.

Beginning early in the morning, guests can request a personalized Mexican wake-up call delivered directly to suites. Showcasing the traditions and flavors of Mexico, the offering includes a basket of sourdough conchas fresh out of the oven, crema de rancho, homemade fruit jam, and a fresh pot of café de olla brewed with cinnamon and spices. Instead of a harsh phone call to the room, the amenity is delivered with a friendly knock on the door alongside a gift of UV-protection apparel, a hat and a custom Yeti thermos for the boat expedition.

Onboard, guests receive a pre-expedition briefing of seasonal fish species they can expect to encounter from a dedicated Marine Concierge while taking off on the 6.5-hour journey. Los Cabos’ position at the confluence of the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez, famously dubbed “The World’s Aquarium” by Jacques Cousteau, creates an exceptionally rich marine ecosystem offering opportunities to catch rare striped marlin, blue marlin, dorado, yellowfin tuna, sailfish and roosterfish. The Marine Concierge provides expert insights into local marine life. Professional photographers capture every moment, ensuring guests can relive their adventure long after returning home, while an on-board chef prepares gourmet sustenance throughout the day.

Following the expedition, the day transitions into a time of renewal back at Grand Velas Boutique Los Cabos with a Post-Fishing Rejuvenation Ritual. Guests indulge in a 15-minute, in-suite shiatsu chair massage, designed to ease muscles after hours on the water, followed by the delivery of a luxurious Natura Bissé skincare kit. This complete routine includes everything from cleanser to sunscreen, as well as moisturizer and eye cream, curated to restore and refresh sun-exposed skin.

The experience concludes with a one-of-a-kind beachfront sashimi dinner. As the sun dips toward the horizon, a private cocktail hour with a dedicated mixologist sets the stage. Then, chefs transform the just-caught fish into an artful spread of sashimi and sushi, sliced and plated with precision. Guests will savor melt-in-your-mouth cuts of tuna and dorado paired with house-made soy reductions, ponzu and wasabi freshly grated tableside. The presentation is elevated with gourmet seasonal garnishes inspired by Baja’s local flavors, served family-style at a candlelit table directly on the sand. After dinner guests can retreat to their suite for a soak in the in-suite Jacuzzi prepared to preference. Champagne and dessert are served tub-side.
