“Go2Africa is thrilled that travelers will have a new option to fly from Atlanta non-stop to Johannesburg and Cape Town,” said Maija De Rijk-Uys, managing director, Go2Africa. “This new Delta route will allow US visitors to easily access some of Africa’s unique gems such as the winelands, Kruger National Park, and the many food and art experiences offered in both Cape Town and Johannesburg.”
Olkeri Camp, located in Tanzania, is the newest addition to the Entara Lodges & Camps portfolio and offers eight spacious, self-contained guest tents situated along seasonal watercourses. A dining area and lounge is nestled at the base of two ancient baobab trees, overlooking a waterhole for the perfect armchair safari experience. The camp will be open throughout the year and activities will include game drives, walking safaris, fly camping, cultural tours, night game drives and hot-air balloon safaris.

Botswana’s Okavango Explorers Camp is shaded by silvery-green leadwood trees beside the remote Selinda Spillway, where you will find the timeless tents of Okavango Explorers Camp. This is another addition to new safari camps in Africa, creating a safari experience reminiscent of exploring the unknown African hinterland. It exudes a spirit of the romance of yesteryear and can be booked exclusively, perfect for friends or families wanting to take the whole camp for extended stays.
Lolebezi Safari Lodge, in Zambia, is set in a prime location along the Zambezi River. This lodge combines all the swankiness of a luxury lodge with a down-to-earth closeness with nature. Lolebezi Safari Lodge is ideal for the eco-conscious traveler, as the lodge is powered by an off-the-grid solar farm. Additionally, the water supply and wastewater are managed to ensure no pollution enters the river. During the build, trees were used in the design and the dining area was built from reclaimed railway sleepers. This raw and untamed part of Africa is best known for its sightings of buffalo and elephant, as well as some safari favorites including lion, leopard and hyena.

Activities in the area include snorkeling, coastal walks, deep-sea fishing, golf and surfing, making Sala Beach House the perfect place to create a memorable holiday and celebrate special occasions. The North Coast of KwaZulu-Natal is well-known for its picturesque scenery and gorgeous beaches lapped by the warm Indian Ocean. An estimated 1 million people pack Times Square to watch the ball drop on New Year’s Eve, but the NYC Pride March draws the largest annual crowd for the city, boasting 2.5 million spectators in a normal year and more than 5 million during 2019’s WorldPride celebration. May 31, 2023Homer and Janet by Homer Review
The Marais District, covering swaths of Paris’ 3rd and 4th arrondissments, has a distinctively gritty glamour that reveals it to be one of the city’s great incubators for new French food, fashion and lifestyle trends. It is here Moïse Sfez took on the challenge of creating street food establishments Homer in 2017 and Janet by Homer in 2022, doing it in such a way they both transcend the novelty of being regional American comfort food offered at stylized lunch counters matching up with New England lobster shacks and New York delis. Overwhelming local response and Sfez winning the 2018 Lobster Roll World’s Championship title in Portland, Maine, solidified him as a Paris restaurateur and one of France’s hottest culinary stars.

May 30, 2023Review: The Shay – Destination by Hyatt
ARRIVAL/CHECK-IN: For a two-night business trip, I stayed at The Shay – Destination by Hyatt in Culver City. The lobby is not just a place to check in but truly a place to gather. As you walk into the hotel from the valet, you’ll find several places to go: spaces to sit and talk, to sit and wait, or to work, plus an area to play billiards and even a bar to get a drink or sit by a cozy fire. Off to the left, the check-in desk is more secluded than the main lobby. Check-in was easy with a friendly staff who verified my reserved room and length of stay. They explained the ways to get around town without a car, told me about the restaurants on property, and asked if I’d like to make a reservation, which I had already arranged. It could not have been any smoother, and everyone welcomed me with a warm smile.
