Global City Guidebook 2025

With its five boroughs, New York City is like five cities in one, each with dozens of neighborhoods lending their own local flavor. Bounded by the Hudson, East and Harlem rivers, Manhattan is the heart of the Big Apple and boasts world- famous icons like Times Square, Central Park, the Statue of Liberty and Empire State Building, as well as renowned museums. Purchase a CityPass to visit New York’s top attractions at significant savings.

GETTING THERE & AROUND
New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport lies 15–20 minutes from Midtown Manhattan. Grab a taxi, ride share, AirTrain JFK or subway into the city. LaGuardia Airport offers another option, located about 8 miles from Midtown in Queens. Taxis are the most convenient — though not the most affordable — option for getting around the city. Metropolitan Transportation Authority buses and subways offer an inexpensive way to move around. Rideshare services are available, or hop on a bike from Citi Bike. Explore individual neighborhoods on foot.

Sun, Sea, Cliffs and Bridges Beckon on the Pacific Coast Highway

On one side, waves breathe in and out across wide stretches of sand or explode against jagged rocks, sending spray shooting into the air. On the other side, the scenery changes: Cliffs rise like walls, vineyards clip past in neat rows, pine trees line the road.
