A few months ago, Francis Ford Coppola Winery introduced a new interactive tasting experience, Coppola WineLab. This experience allows travelers to go beyond the normal tasting experience, offering wine enthusiasts a unique way to get involved in the wine-making process. Guests who participate in this first-of-its-kind experience have the chance to taste different samples of the same wine, each with a unique twist. Samples are currently in the early stages of creation and aren’t offered at other tasting experiences yet. Each wine was created with different techniques, such as the type of oak used in the aging process, fermentation methods and ripeness of the grapes at harvest.

While sipping wines, guests then provide feedback on the taste, aging process, blend of vineyards and overall thoughts on an iPad. The feedback will then be taken into consideration to help winemakers when creating the final blend of the wines, making guests an essential part of the process.
If you missed the first few opportunities to participate, the winery just released new dates through 2025: Sept. 18 and 19, Oct. 16 and 17, Nov. 20 and 21, and Dec. 18 and 19.

The experience runs 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; is complimentary for all guests; is first come, first served; and runs for about 15–20 minutes.
