airberlin and the experts at Deutsche Polarflug will offer passengers a sightseeing flight over the North Pole in spring 2015. On April 25, 2015, the carrier will operate an Airbus A330-200 from Dusseldorf (DUS) to the vast expanses of the Arctic and fly over the North Pole and Arctic Ocean as well as remote Polar regions such as Spitsbergen and the snow- and ice-covered coastline of eastern Greenland. Polar explorers on board will provide entertainment and background information about the unique nature of the Arctic. Films about the Polar region will be shown and a Nordic-inspired in-flight menu will be offered during the 12-hour round-trip flight.

“This special flight is already the eighth North Pole flight undertaken by airberlin. Every year we receive extremely positive feedback from our guests about this extraordinary flight experience.
