CASCADA Thermal Springs + Hotel recently opened in Portland, Oregon, making it the first underground thermal springs spa and hotel within the city. A sanctuary transcending traditional self-care, this new spa and hotel boasts the largest hydrothermal spa in Portland. Guests can enjoy four underground pools of varying temperatures, as well as a steam room, sauna and ice therapy space.

The spa’s centerpiece is The Conservatory, an 82-degree tropical oasis with a 25-foot air plant living tapestry and rare flora curated in partnership with Portland Botanical Garden. Wellness-centric amenities span three whole floors, also featuring a gym, treatment rooms, hydrotherapy circuit, swimming pool, and hammam-inspired bath and steam rooms.

CASCADA Thermal Springs + Hotel not only sets a new standard in the spa industry but also for eco-conscious hospitality. It’s the first hotel to use a plate-and-panel hybrid mass timber system source from regional forests.

All suites come with a full or Juliet balcony, king-sized beds, full kitchenettes with speed oven and induction cooking, floor-to-ceiling glass-and-tile bathrooms, washer and dryer, and more.

Culinary offerings include signature restaurant Terra Mae, fusing Portuguese traditions with Japanese refinement. Alberta Street Coffee, in the lobby, offers artisanal coffees, light meals, and a selection of sweet and savory snacks. The property is entirely free of seed oils, ensuring health-conscious dining that aligns with the hotel’s commitment to clean, natural living.
