Finnair announced added frequency and capacity on summer routes to Asia.
Starting June 5, 2017, service to Tokyo (NRT) increases by four additional flights. The Airbus A350 is slated to serve the new additions, with existing routes continuing to use the Airbus A330. The added Tokyo service is a joint venture with partners Japan Airlines, British Airways and Iberia. Increased frequency and capacity continues through Oct. 27, 2017.
Frequency to Hong Kong (HKG) also increases June 6–Oct. 28, 2017, bumping Finnair up to 10 weekly flights between Helsinki (HEL) and Hong Kong. Throughout next summer, service to Guangzhou (CAN) should continue as planned.
“With increased frequencies for Tokyo and Hong Kong on the A350, we are now tapping into the growth of Asia-Europe traffic and increasing our presence in cities that have been popular with our customers in recent years. It’s been a year since we received our very first Airbus A350, and with seven aircraft operating in our network, we look forward to having even more customers flying on this great aircraft,” said Juha Järvinen, CCO, Finnair.
