Finnair joined a joint business set up by American Airlines, British Airways and Iberia on trans-Atlantic routes between Europe and North America. Under the terms of the new agreement, Finnair added its AY code to all trans-Atlantic flights operated by American Airlines, British Airways and Iberia, allowing customers to mix and match flights on all four carriers for more convenient scheduling, better pricing and smoother connections for onward destinations. In total, the joint business operates up to 102 daily round-trip flights between North America and Europe. The carrier also announced it is currently seeking regulatory approval to join the joint business agreement between oneworld members Japan Airlines and British Airways for flights between Europe and Japan.
