Finnair recently signed a new partnership with Alitrip, China’s fastest-growing online travel platform. The collaboration hopes to bring approximately 3,000 Chinese tourists to Finland this winter. Together, the two brands designed a seven-day Finland and Lapland itinerary, including one night in Helsinki, two nights in Rovaniemi and two nights in Ivalo. Alitrip is also establishing a service centre in Rovaniemi to assist travellers. Finnair is the first European brand to partner with Alitrip to this extent. “Finland and Lapland have many great things to offer and this new cooperation between Finnair with Alitrip will be a great opportunity for Finland to showcase itself to the Chinese public. Thousands of Chinese tourists are expected to visit Finland during the winter months with this new package. Our aim is to grow this long-term cooperation between both companies every year,” said Juha Järvinen, chief commercial officer, Finnair. Finnair currently offers service to Beijing (PEK), Chongqing (CKH), Hong Kong (HKG) and Shanghai (PVG), and seasonal service to Guangzhou (CAN) and Xi’an (XIY), with 32 weekly flights during peak season.
