A new survey conducted by wealth research firm New World Wealth revealed the most popular hotels with millionaires. Coming out on top? Las Vegas’ Bellagio, which was named the No. 1 hotel in the world among wealthy travelers. “The Bellagio is not really a name we expected, but a lot of the wealthy like going there,” Andrew Amoils, head of research, New World Wealth, was quoted in a CNBC article. To arrive at these results, the South Africa-based company surveyed more than 800 millionaires. Among the other top choices were New York’s Plaza Hotel, the Mandarin Oriental in London, the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France, and Raffles Hotel Singapore. These are all 5-star properties, not surprisingly. The Bellagio is actually the cheapest of the five hotels, with rooms costing just a few hundred dollars per night on average. Hotels like the Plaza and Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc are among the most iconic in the world. New World Wealth also released details in the report about the top-rated trains, airlines and even fly-fishing rivers among wealthy travelers.
