The Kunstmuseum Zürich launched a grand new exhibition titled “Fashion Drive: Extreme Clothing in the Visual Arts.” On view until July 15, the exhibit includes 200 displays casting a light on a slice of time between the end of the 18th century to the beginning of the 20th century, exploring the drivers of fashion from social status and personal expression to the simply outrageous.

Among the 50 artists represented through painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, photography and video art are Sylvie Fleury, Gustav Klimt, Leigh Bowery, Albrecht Dürer, Salvador Dali, Andy Warhol and the team of Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood.
