Zicatela is most easily accessed via Puerto Escondido Airport. International flights must connect through Mexico City (MEX) or Oaxaca (OAX). Stay at the boutique hotel Villas Carrizalillo during your visit. The secluded property is tucked away on a cliffside overlooking the bay of Carrizalillo. Zicatela is known as a prime surfing destination so head to the beach and hit the waves. Spend the rest of your trip exploring Puerto Escondido. Head to Mercato Benito Juarez, located about two miles from the beach. The market is a great place to stock up on souvenirs for your loved ones, and yourself! You’ll find local delicacies like Oaxacan chocolate and handmade items, including pottery, all of which will remind you of your trip once you return home.
