In the market we will buy the ingredients for the cooking lesson. During this lesson, you will learn the technique of preparing hand made pasta and to make “Sfoglia (thin puff pastry)” among other local dishes. After the lesson, at lunch you will enjoy your own meal and some other traditional dishes of Bologna.
Starting in Bologna, this private tour takes you to the Emilia-Romagna valley as you discover where excellent food is produced! Your day starts with guided gourmet tour of Bologna where you will visit a traditional Parmigiano Reggiano cheese producer. Then, stop to take some pictures of the impressive Torrechiara Castle and surrounding area. In afternoon, you will visit a local wine producer situated in the scenic hills of Parma where you will have a tour of the cellar, followed by lunch and local wine tasting. After lunch, visit a traditional Prosciutto di Parma producer before heading to an Modena. In Modena, you will visit an authentic “Acetaia”, the famous balsamic vinegar lofts, followed by a tasting.
