Day 1

Arrive and get right to the business of eating with a walking food tour from Savannah Taste Experience. They recommend the First Squares Food Tour for first-time visitors to Savannah. Check in to your hotel, Mansion on Forsyth Park, part of the Autograph Collection, before wandering River Street for many affordable dinner and drink options. Or, you may opt to dine in your hotel at 700 Drayton Restaurant, followed by cocktails at the rooftop Casimir’s Lounge.

Day 2

Start your next day in Savannah with a dose of history to accompany the myriad culinary delights. Tour the three sites where Savannah’s Preservation Movement began: Andrew Low House, Davenport House Museum and Ships of the Sea Museum. A multi-site pass is $21. If possible, pair your visit to the Davenport House Museum with afternoon tea in the garden. In the afternoon, join the Savannah Brews Cruise, which, despite its name, is a bus-driven tour to the best spots in Savannah’s emerging craft beer and distillery scene. Unwind that evening with a two-hour dinner cruise with Savannah Riverboat Cruises.

Day 3

Day three means it’s time to don the apron! At Mansion on Forsyth Park, 700 Kitchen Cooking School by Kessler offers cooking classes taught by a master-inspired culinary artist. Wrap up your day at Savannah’s fine-dining grand dame and enjoy dinner at Elizabeth on 37th.

Don’t ignore your sweet tooth — whenever the need for a sugar rush strikes during your time in Savannah, venture over to Leopold’s Ice Cream Shop. They’ve served the same premium ice cream since 1919, and it’s a Savannah classic.
