Beginning in January, Eurowings will offer 36 new routes from various points in Europe. Lufthansa’s low-cost carrier will take over some of the similar routes previously covered by airberlin, no longer in business as of late October.
Of the 36 new routes, 15 will depart from Berlin (TXL), six will fly from Vienna (VIE), five from Dusseldorf (DUS), three from Nuremberg (NUE), two from Hamburg (HAM) and one each from Cologne (CGN), Munich (MUC), Salzburg (SZG), Stuttgart (STR) and Zurich (ZRH). Most routes will be contained within Europe, serving cities like Gothenburg (GOT), Krakow (KRK), Milan (MXP) and Copenhagen (CPH), while other routes will venture out of the continent, such as Berlin to Gran Canaria (LPA); Vienna to Marrackech, Morocco (RAK); and Nuremberg to Tenerife, Canary Islands (TFS).
These new routes will launch Jan. 15–Jan. 18, 2018, and will be flown on Airbus A320s or Bombardier Dash 8-Q400 aircraft. Longer flights requiring Boeing 737-800 aircraft may be operated by partner airline TUIfly.
