EL AL Israel Airlines announced upcoming routes as well as a new pricing model for economy-class tickets to European destinations.

Later this year, non-stop flights between Tel Aviv (TLV) and San Francisco (SFO) commence, operating three times weekly on the airline’s new Dreamliner aircraft.

Economy-class pricing is now divided into three fare types: classic, flex and lite. The new pricing goes on sale April 30 for flights departing after Oct. 14.

The economy-class pricing comes with a new seating configuration. Economy-class seats and business-class seats are both scheduled for replacement and USB sockets are set for installation in each seat in every class. WiFi is set to roll out on all aircraft gradually.

At the same time, the business passenger is interested in products that offer maximum flexibility, schedules that are best-suited for business activities, business-class service and more,” said David Maimon, president and CEO, EL AL. “We are launching a new pricing model to all of EL AL’s European destinations for economy-class product, while maintaining the highest standards. The new model will allow EL AL passengers to fly at attractive prices and choose, with complete transparency, the flight package that best suits their needs. The business-class offering will not change.”

The new lite economy service allows for one carry-on and food and beverage service. Classic offers one carry-on, seating options, food and beverages and one checked bag. Flex provides unlimited changes and cancellations, with two carry-on bags, expanded seating options, food and beverages, checked baggage and additional services to be announced.
