Are you participating in the Dry January challenge? If you aren’t indulging in alcohol this month, try these mocktails from restaurants around the country.
Try the Salted Tomato, with tomato water, lemon juice and salted strawberry syrup.
Bywater American Bistro, New Orleans
Two options from the Louisiana eatery include Tropical Rose, with pineapple, lemon, rose syrup and tonic. The We Want…A Shrubbery! mocktail features blackberry-grapefruit shrub, lemon, sage and soda.
Also in New Orleans, try the Strange Page, with grapefruit, Aji dulce pepper, raspberry, ginger and gentian, at Compère Lapin.
Try the Hand-Shaken Piña Colada, with fresh pineapple, cream de coco and coconut milk, or the Watermelon Nojito, with fresh watermelon, lime, mint and soda.
Three options are available at L.A. Jackson, on the rooftop of Thompson Nashville. The “D” is Silent has ginger, lime, honey, pineapple and chili, while the Say “What” Again is a blend of coconut, passionfruit, lime, pineapple and grenadine. Why Am I Mr. Pink? combines lemon, grapefruit, cinnamon and pear syrup.
Sip on a Carrot Top with carrots, Granny Smith apples, ginger, lime and soda, or the Shrubbish, boasting golden beet, turmeric, orange, fresno chile and white balsamic vinegar flavors. The signature Le Jardin is cucumber, mint, fine herbs, lime and soda.
Lightkeepers at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami
Try the Mint to Beach, with (no surprise) muddled fresh mint, lemonade, simple syrup and club soda. The You Had Me at Aloe balances Iberis Aloe drink with lime juice, agave nectar and club soda.
In Alabama, Satterfield’s serves up three mocktails. Womp Juice is Seedlip grove, pear syrup, lime juice and ginger beer. In The Masquerade, Seedlip citrus complements lemon juice and hibiscus syrup. The Heat Wave brings the fire with Seedlip spice, habanero syrup and lime juice.
We finish up in the Big Easy with two options. Hibiscus Lemon Soda combines hibiscus lemon sherbet with lemon juice. Mull It Over by sipping on cranberry juice, mulled syrup and lemon juice.
