Walt Disney World Resort officials announced they will officially close the DisneyQuest attraction to the public July 3. DisneyQuest, a one-of-a-kind indoor interactive theme park experience, opened in 1998, features five floors of high-tech adventure with a unique mix of classic arcade favorites like pinball to immersive virtual worlds like CyberSpace Mountain.
Taking the place of DisneyQuest in the Disney Springs area will be The NBA Experience, which left its previous location at Universal CityWalk. The NBA Experience is heralded as a one-of-a-kind attraction placing guests directly inside the basketball action. The attraction will include video productions and interactive experiences based on the NBA, a themed restaurant and a retail store. As of now, there is no open date for The NBA Experience. The attraction will join the new additions to Disney Springs completed over the past couple of years.
The changes made to Disney Springs are part of a multi-year transformation that includes the opening of several new restaurants and stores.
