Wine & Dine Festival Returns This October
The annual Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival makes its grand return to Central Harbourfront Oct. 23–27. This year, the festival extends by another day, becoming a five-day, open-air culinary party. Savor some of the finest tastes from this culinary capital, with dozens of food stalls serving epicurean delights. About 10 award-winning restaurants will also showcase their culinary mastery in a designated gourmet area, and an exclusive cocktail lounge in front of Victoria Harbour is the perfect setting to enjoy signature tastes. The festival will also launch Taste Around the World, a citywide culinary celebration across Hong Kong during the month of November.
Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance
Designated a National Intangible Cultural Heritage, this year’s Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance takes place Sept. 16–18, in which more than 300 performers work together to maneuver a 67-meter-long, fire-lit dragon through the grid-like streets of the Tai Hang neighborhood. The dragon is made of pearl straws and covered in around 12,000 incense sticks. On Sept. 17, the evening of the Mid-Autumn Festival, revelers can enjoy a festival-themed drone show over the harbor. Other highlights include carnivals and celebrations across Victoria Park and Lee Tung Avenue.

Hong Kong Halloween
East-meets-West culture is apparent on Halloween in Hong Kong, as it marks one of the biggest days on the city’s social calendar. Restaurants, shopping malls and major attractions all take part in the celebrations. Halloween-themed decorations and displays can be found around town. In Lan Kwai Fong, one of the city’s most popular nightlife districts, revelers go above and beyond for Halloween with more than 100 restaurants and bars welcoming guests in all manners of costume into the early hours.
