Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport achieved a milestone recently on its self-proclaimed mission to connect the world.

When new American Eagle service to Hermosillo (HMO) and Zacatecas (ZCL), Mexico takes off in June, DFW will offer a grand total of 200 non-stop flights to destinations across the country and around the world.

DFW joins a select group of airports worldwide to achieve the milestone, including Frankfurt (FRA), Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS), Paris Charles De Gaulle (CDG), Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta (ATL), Chicago O’Hare (ORD) and Munich (MUC).

“Even with this tremendous achievement of 200 destinations, our airport still has plenty of room to grow and add more capacity,” said Jeff Fegan, CEO, DFW Airport. “We are optimistic DFW can continue to attract more air service in the coming months and years, particularly new international service, as we build on our mission to connect the Dallas-Fort Worth area to the world.”

High-Spirited Hong Kong: The Dynamic Hub Embraces Its Maritime History and Culture

It was known as the “Kai Tak heart attack” — the thrilling, terrifying final approach into Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Airport. Airliners were required to bank sharply at the last moment, dodging hills and apartment blocks to line up with a runway jutting out into Kowloon Bay. The airport is long gone, but international visitors are arriving at Kai Tak again, albeit more sedately. Their cruise ships dock smoothly at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, a modern gateway designed by Sir Norman Foster.

Why Japan Is Best Explored by Sea with Princess

Japan is a destination that rewards repeat visits because no two regions — or seasons —  feel quite the same. One moment, you’re wandering through centuries-old geisha districts in Kanazawa. The next, you’re watching neon reflections dance across Tokyo streets long after midnight.
