Delta Air Lines launched new service between Boston (BOS) and Edinburgh (EDI) late last month. The seasonal service is available daily during peak summer months.

A 163-seat Boeing 757-200ER aircraft serves the flight with 16 business-class seats, in-seat entertainment in all cabins and WiFi access.

The flight departs Boston at 10:15 p.m., arriving in Edinburgh at 9:25 a.m. the next day. Return flights depart Edinburgh at 10:55 a.m., arriving in Boston at 1:02 p.m.

Together, Delta and partner Virgin Atlantic Airways offer up to 25 weekly flights between the United States and Scotland this summer, a 25 percent year-over-year capacity increase.

“Boston is our fastest-growing international hub and a daily service from Edinburgh in addition to our New York-JFK route responds to increased demand for travel to the United States and provides greater choice when it comes to planning trips for business or pleasure,” said Roberto Ioriatti, vice president, trans-Atlantic, Delta Air Lines. “More American tourists visit Scotland than from any other country — over half a million in 2017 — and with more than 2,000 extra seats each week between the United States and Edinburgh, Delta will help increase visitor numbers, contributing to the local economy.”
