Coming off a year of five new Delta Sky Clubs and two expanded or reopened locations, Delta Air Lines enters 2024 with vigor, announcing the debut of its highly anticipated premium lounges. The airline plans to introduce the new concept to customers in New York John F. Kennedy International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport and Boston Logan International Airport.
New York’s JFK will host the inaugural premium lounge, spanning 38,000 square feet of space. Within, passengers will find a full-service brasserie; and a casual, chef-assisted market with open kitchens. The lounge will also be home to dedicated wellness areas.
“We want each of our guests to receive a highly personalized and dedicated level of service,” said Claude Roussel, vice president, Delta Sky Club and Lounge Experience, Delta Air Lines. “It’s not enough to have beautiful spaces and exceptional offerings. Premium lounge customers should feel welcomed and known when they walk in the door, just as they would at their favorite hotel or restaurant. We look forward to providing that warm welcome and making ‘premium’ feel personal for each guest.”
No two premium lounges will be alike, with each location featuring elements and details inspired by the surrounding region and city. Delta Air Lines will open five new lounges in 2024, three of which will be premium lounges. The expansion adds more than 2,700 seats to its lounge network since 2023.
Delta clubs and expansions this year include:
John F. Kennedy International Airport
The much-anticipated premium lounge debuts early this summer at New York’s JFK. The premium lounge will be the largest in the Delta network.
Seattle-Tacoma International Airport
Delta Sky Club will soon open a more than 21,000-square-foot location in Terminal A, marking its second Sky Club at the airport. The new club expects to open at the end of 2024.
Miami International Airport
This location will top 12,000 square feet with planned seating for 320 guests following an expansion of the Sky Club, slated to open in the first half of 2024.
Charlotte Douglas International Airport
The first-ever Charlotte Delta Sky Club location hits the airport at the end of 2024. The Club will include seating for more than 250 people and nearly 15,000 square feet of space.
LaGuardia Airport
Slated for early this summer, an expansion of Terminal C Club in LaGuardia Airport sees a Sky Deck and more than 100 seats added to the Club.
Los Angeles International Airport
The premium experience from Delta Sky Club comes to the West Coast at the end of 2024. The premium lounge will feature an exclusive outdoor terrace and more than 10,000 square feet of space directly accessible by elevator from the Delta One check-in area.
Boston Logan International Airport
Also slated to open at the end of this year, the new, 6,300-square-foot BOS-E premium lounge will include 120 seats. The lounge will also be connected to the recently opened BOS-E Delta Sky Club, which premium lounge guests can also access.
Access guidelines for premium lounges are still being finalized.
