Bellagio Executive Chef Edmund Wong invites culinary novices and experts to slice, dice and season their way through the New Year at An Executive Chef’s Culinary Classroom, the Las Vegas resort’s popular series of themed cooking classes.

Each interactive two-hour session will involve Wong and his culinary team demonstrating unique cooking techniques and guiding guests through the steps to crafting an expertly prepared three-course meal in the hotel’s Tuscany Kitchen, a state-of-the-art demonstration kitchen boasting designated stations with all the ingredients and tools necessary to create the evening’s dishes.

Held throughout the year, classes are priced at $135 per person. Each begins with Wong offering a detailed step-by-step description of the evening’s meal. Bellagio chefs will provide specialized assistance and guidance during each cooking session. Following the lesson, guests will have the opportunity to be seated and taste their creations. A menu card is provided to each guest to take home at the conclusion of the meal.

The 2015 schedule includes:

Italian by the Lake: Thursday, Feb. 12
Inspired by Bellagio’s new Italian restaurant, Lago by Julian Serrano, scheduled to open in March, this course focuses on creating contemporary Italian cuisine.

Dim Sum and Noodles: Thursday, March 19
This course will teach the secret techniques to various noodle dishes and signature Chinese plates.

Tequila and Tacos: Thursday, April 30
Students will learn how to make an array of festive margaritas and classic Mexican dishes just in time for Cinco de Mayo celebrations.

Healthy Gourmet: Tuesday, May 26
Guests will focus on cooking various healthy dishes while leaving guilt at the door.

Backyard Patio Grilling: Tuesday, June 30
Guests will learn how to take a backyard cookout to the next level with the finest meats, produce and barbeque techniques.

Learning to Roll … Sushi and Rolls: Thursday, July 23
Guests will learn how to serve sushi and sashimi in style while chefs teach the art of selecting, combining and rolling the freshest ingredients to prepare everyone’s favorite Japanese cuisine.

Back to School: Thursday, Aug. 27
Parents will learn how to make fast meals kids will love while keeping it healthy at the same time.

Cupcakes & Cocktails: Tuesday, Sept. 29
Bellagio’s team of award-winning pastry chefs teaches guests how to create the perfect girl’s night in during a fun night of fancy cocktails and delicious cupcakes.

Octoberfest: Tuesday, Oct. 13
Beer lovers will learn to prepare dishes that best complement their favorite refreshment.

Harvesting Thanksgiving 2.0: Tuesday, Nov. 10
Bellagio’s culinary professionals will demonstrate simple techniques for creating the perfect holiday feast.
