While most cruise lines charge a fee for Internet access, Regent Seven Seas plans to offer passengers free Internet access on certain 2013 itineraries. The high-end luxury cruise line will provide the service on its three ships booked by March 31. The deal is valid for Seven Seas Navigator’s 10-night Caribbean cruise from Miami and its seven-night cruises to Alaska. The deal is also valid for 11 European sailings — six Seven Seas Mariner Mediterranean cruises sailing from Istanbul, Venice, Athens, Rome and Monte Carlo and five cruises on Seven Seas Voyager with departures from Stockholm, Copenhagen and Rome. Both the Seven Seas Mariner Mediterranean and Seven Seas Voyager offer seven- and 10-night sailings from April 24 to Oct. 6.

Princess Cruises plans to get more family friendly in 2013 with the launch of the Royal Princess this summer. The 3,600-passenger ship will offer more amenities for teens and toddlers and include an expanded atrium, a top-deck glass-bottomed walkway extending more than 28 feet beyond the edge of the ship, pool-side cabanas, a pastry shop and balconies on all outside staterooms. The Royal Princess will serve cruises on the line’s signature Grand Mediterranean itinerary throughout the summer and Eastern Caribbean cruises in the fall.
