Seabourn guests on select cruises now enjoy an exclusive culinary experience. The Cook Your Catch experience allows you to catch your own dinner aboard Seabourn Sojourn during the Ultimate Alaska voyages through Alaska and British Columbia.

There are several places to take advantage of the experience. Board a cabin cruiser in the Icy Strait to catch some halibut; look out for eagles, whales, seals and sea lions in the Clover Passage, while you catch your salmon dinner; try your hand at reeling in an abundance of sea life in the Sitka Sound, including king, silver, chum and pink salmon; or try world-class Pacific Ocean fishing in the Inside Passage, where the best chance of a catch is based completely on word of the day and seasonality.

“People fish all over the world, but few opportunities measure up to those we’ve created for guests with the Cook Your Catch experience surrounded by the beauty of Alaska this summer,” said Gerald Mosslinger, vice president of hotel operations, Seabourn. “With skilled guides who know their way to the best waters, fishing for anglers of all skill levels, and preparation for evening enjoyment by Seabourn’s culinary talent, Cook Your Catch is an experience every guest will want to be a part of.”

High-Spirited Hong Kong: The Dynamic Hub Embraces Its Maritime History and Culture

It was known as the “Kai Tak heart attack” — the thrilling, terrifying final approach into Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Airport. Airliners were required to bank sharply at the last moment, dodging hills and apartment blocks to line up with a runway jutting out into Kowloon Bay. The airport is long gone, but international visitors are arriving at Kai Tak again, albeit more sedately. Their cruise ships dock smoothly at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, a modern gateway designed by Sir Norman Foster.

Why Japan Is Best Explored by Sea with Princess

Japan is a destination that rewards repeat visits because no two regions — or seasons —  feel quite the same. One moment, you’re wandering through centuries-old geisha districts in Kanazawa. The next, you’re watching neon reflections dance across Tokyo streets long after midnight.
