San Juan’s iconic Condado Vanderbilt Hotel will once again welcome guests for hotel stays Dec. 1, 2014, when the hotel completes the final stage of its $200 million revitalization. The hotel will unveil elegant guestrooms and suites, a spa sanctuary with Puerto Rico’s first hammam, two pool lounges with butler service and a second international restaurant helmed by Chef Juan Jose Cuevas.

The 319 guestrooms (108 of them suites) will feature neutral hues, light terracotta-colored walls and dark wood furniture; many rooms also offer balconies and terraces overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

The two newly constructed Suite Towers offer one- and two-bedroom suites with spacious living areas, nine-foot ceilings, European-style kitchens and custom lighting elements. Two 3,000-square foot Vanderbilt Suites, on the penthouse level of each tower, feature impressive terraces and 24-hour butler service. Both Suite Towers are home to two new pool lounge areas.

A 10,000-square-foot spa and fitness facility will be home to Puerto Rico’s first private hammam, with a marble-slab heated massage bed, marble benches and mosaic marble walls.

Also opening is Chef Juan Jose Cuevas’ second on-site dining outlet, resembling a beach-chic, 1950s-style restaurant. The Condado Vanderbilt Hotel is poised to return as San Juan’s unrivaled location for luxury.
