Chinese travellers now have direct access to Las Vegas with a new long-haul route with Hainan Airlines.
The new route is the airline’s sixth to the United States in the last eight years and the first-ever non-stop scheduled flight between Beijing (PEK) and Las Vegas (LCF). Hainan Airlines also flies to Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Los Angeles (LAX), San Jose (SJC) and Seattle (SEA).
The new flight will operate three times a week, departing Beijing every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 14:55 and arriving in Las Vegas 11:10 the same day. The return service leaves at 13:10 and returns to Beijing at 18:05 the next day. Hainan Airlines will deploy its Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on the 12.5-hour route, featuring lie-flat seats in the aircraft’s business class.
Las Vegas is developing new attractions for Asian travellers, including the opening of The Lucky Dragon Hotel & Casino and the development of Genting Hong Kong, a Chinese-themed integrated resort, set to open in 2019.
According to Travel Daily Media, 7.3 million Chinese tourists are projected to travel to the United States between now and 2021, and Hainan Airlines makes it easier with the introduction of its new direct route.
