Celebrity Cruises revealed a massive refurbishment program to its Solstice-class ships, including Celebrity Solstice, Celebrity Equinox, Celebrity Eclipse, Celebrity Silhouette and Celebrity Reflection.
Updates and transformations include a replacement of these ships’ nightclubs. Celebrity Barcade will serve as the new venue, described as an elevated sports bar for guests to play and watch games, as well as enjoy games across multiple screens for broadcasting sports events. The space will also boast retro board games, darts and billiards.
Updated dining experiences include the addition of Trattoria Rossa, an Italian eatery bathed in opulent décor. This restaurant will serve Italian classics and fresh pasta. And Celebrity Central will transform into The Boulevard Lounge, a cabaret-inspired entertainment venue with new game shows, candlelit concerts, dueling piano shows and interactive daytime programming. Handcrafted cocktails will also be served here.
Solstice-class ships will welcome Fine Cut Steakhouse, which will take over Tuscan Grille. Guests can expect a premium menu of 30-day, dry-aged steaks, as well as fresh seafood.
Other refurbishments include a redesigned Retreat with a new sun deck and V.I.P. suite enclave with a redesignated private lounge and enhanced staterooms; Sunset Park, which replaces The Lawn Club and will be an outdoor venue with upscale cuisine, tasty drinks, lawn games and open-air concerts; and upgrades to every stateroom. In fact, AquaClass staterooms will boast new spa-inspired elements, including aromatherapy diffusers, in-room yoga mats, a pillow menu and massaging showerheads.

Getting to and from Leopard Sands River Lodge in Kruger National Park is half the fun, as it is a short, scenic drive from tiny Skukuza Airport (possibly one of the most attractive and mellow in existence) and main entrance of Kruger National Park, which turns 100 in 2026. Having evolved into a well-oiled machine since its December 2023 opening, it presents its first “wow” moment 30 minutes before even setting foot on the property. As baggage is brought in from the plane, drivers from the lodge set out a selection of beer; soft drinks; and locally produced dried fruit, nut mixes and biltong (the South African cousin to jerky). It’s a small sample of what’s to come.
