Southwest Airlines partnered with Discovery Channel to create a Shark Week-themed Boeing 737-700 aircraft. The specially designed plane will be on display during regular flights through Aug. 31. Travelers who spot the plane during their journeys are invited to share photos with @SouthwestAir and @SharkWeek with #SharksTakeFlight, for a chance to receive Shark Week-themed gifts. Passengers on Southwest can also now view exclusive content from Discovery Channel in anticipation of Shark Week, June 26–July 3. “Now more than ever, brands have to be creative and unique in their approach to reach new customers. Partnering with Discovery’s Shark Week allows Southwest to connect with our customers in a fun and memorable way. Only on Southwest can you enjoy this Shark Week experience, and that’s what it’s all about,” said Linda Rutherford, chief communication officer, Southwest Airlines.
