Cathay Pacific Group continues expansion across Mainland China with the announcement of a new Cathay Dragon flight between Hong Kong (HKG) and Jinan (TNA), the capital of the Shandong province.
Beginning March 26, the flight will operate four times per week between the two popular destinations. Jinan is known as China’s major administrative, economic and transportation hub, as well as for its 72 natural springs.
“Our priority is to grow our reach to new destinations, which is why we are delighted to soon be adding Jinan to our network. Shandong province is a flourishing region, one that is becoming ever more popular with travellers from around Asia and beyond,” said Paul Loo, chief customer and commercial officer, Cathay Pacific.
An Airbus A320 aircraft will operate the flight in a two-class configuration. Flights depart Hong Kong on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, with return flights departing Jinan Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
The announcement follows the early January launch of Cathay Dragon’s service to Nanning (NNG) and Cathay Pacific’s upcoming services to Brussels (BRU); Copenhagen (CPH); Dublin (DUB); and Washington, D.C. (IAD).
