Arrival/Check-in: If there is one thing about Ritz-Carlton hotels that will always be consistent, it’s class. When I first set foot on the Ritz’s Chicago property, I was instantly reminded of the years of experience and class this hotel brand carries. The lobby is not flashy or overwhelmingly grand. Its style is classic and commands respect. Check-in was quick and quiet, and my bags were promptly delivered to my suite. (30/30)

Share Miles with Family and Friends with United Airlines
As you look ahead to winter travel, United Airlines and its MileagePlus loyalty program introduced MileagePlus miles pooling, which allows members to contribute and combine miles into a joint account. Groups of up to five members can now share and redeem miles in one linked account. As the first and only major U.S. airline to offer this feature, United also allows any MileagePlus member, whether relatives or close friends, to be in a pool with other members.

Arrival/Check-in: I arrived late morning after a short flight from Boston. It was my first visit to Chicago, so I was looking forward to discovering what about the city led just about everyone I told about my visit to respond with a dreamy look that said, “I love Chicago.” I got my first hint when the doorman opened my cab door and greeted me by name. How did he do that? I still don’t know. Check-in was quick and easy. Before I knew it I was opening the door to my guestroom. (30/30)
