Sip on the unique flavors of Hungarian brandy, called pálinka, during Budapest’s springtime festival. Visitors can taste more than 300 of Hungary’s finest traditional spirits during the Budapest Pálinka Festival.
From April 28–30, visitors and locals congregate at Városháza Park to enjoy local and major brands of the Hungarian brandy along with live entertainment. There will be ample food stalls within the festival, offering Hungarian chocolates, sausage, cheeses and more to accompany the strong liquor.
The pálinka event is special to Budapest and the Hungarian people as it is the only festival to feature the locally grown fruit used to make this unique Hungarian brandy. Visitors should plan tasting tickets in advance, as this event is popular and unique.
