“Flyby,” a sculpture expressing forward momentum as it relates to flight and movement, is the newest public art display at Boston Logan International Airport. The 18-foot high x 26-foot long sculpture made of anodized aluminum, powder coated steel and stainless steel is on display in the United Airlines section of Terminal B.
“There is a celebration of liveliness in Terminal B and Flyby is inspired by this energy and excitement,” said Jacob Kulin, an award-winning artist and creator of the sculpture. “The asymmetric and geometric patterns that animate the open expanse provide space for art to captivate and connect with travelers. The sculpture echoes notions of transition and flow with its streamlined, telescoping forms, producing a sense of speed and takeoff as the piece seamlessly rears up from the floor.”
