It’s officially wedding season. Yes, that’s right, I am sure most of you now have your calendars full of awkward wedding showers (my first one of the season was yesterday), bachelor/bachelorette parties that will cost you a fortune, large local weddings and weddings out of town for a college friend that eat up your vacation time.

In the spirit of wedding season and vacation season, I believe the travel industry answered back. After a rather quick vote from the House, air traffic controller furloughs will end. This will hopefully cure the main reasons for the season’s 3,000 flight delays from the furlough backlash. But let’s not hold our breath; according to CNN, more that 4,000 flights were delayed this year just due to bad weather.

United announced another wedding and vacation season draw: the airline will now have daily, non-stop flights from San Francisco (SFO) to Paris (CDG). We Californians can rest a bit easier and not worry about connecting at JFK to get to the City of Lights. Paris makes for a perfect honeymoon destination or just a place to lose yourself this summer or fall.
