A few years ago, I went on a food-themed trip to London. It was a wonderful trip, as we perused the market at Covent Garden and Borough Market. It unleashed in me a real love for food markets, and I also enjoy visiting the farmers’ markets in my area. A few days ago, an email from the Daily Meal came through my inbox. The Daily Meal is a website dedicated to all things food and drink. The email ranked some of the best farmers’ and food markets in the world, so I thought I’d share the rankings with all my fellow market lovers out there.
- Maltby Street Market in London: Offering artisanal food and drink
- Smorgasburg in Brooklyn: On the Williamsburg Waterfront every Saturday, features popular Brooklyn and New York City food vendors
- Hale’iwa Farmers’ Market in Oahu, Hawaii: Held every Sunday, almost 50 vendors serve fresh fish, breads, fruits and vegetables
- Charleston Farmers Market in Charleston: Also on Saturdays, food, jewels and crafts highlight the local talent
