This month I had an in-and-out day of travel to Atlanta. I left Philadelphia very early in the morning and returned to the City of Brotherly Love by 8 p.m. that evening. My colleague and I had three business meetings, and I was surprised at how smooth the day went. When I arrived in Philadelphia, I was fortunate to be directed to the TSA PreCheck line, even though I do not have access to this typically. However, I am expecting, so I thought perhaps the baby bump helped me out a bit! I must say experiencing the PreCheck line made me want to apply. Quick and easy, I went through security within minutes and was en route to my gate, stress-free! When you have a busy day of travel ahead of you, it’s important to start off on the right foot. Normal security lines can often become long, slow, stressful and negative. Whether traveling for business or pleasure, no one needs or wants that kind of environment! On this particular day, I was grateful to have had a seamless security experience followed by a similar boarding process. Once I boarded the Delta Air Lines flight, I felt relaxed and began to review and prepare for the day of meetings ahead. While I worked, I was pleased when the friendly flight attendant came by offering beverages and snacks. Even if it’s a quick flight, I am very appreciative of airlines that still offer this complimentary service. I opted for a cup of coffee and breakfast cookies. To my delight (and surprise), the coffee was Starbucks! This particular morning, I was definitely a happy traveler. The day continued to run smoothly, and I was satisfied with my day of travel to Atlanta. While I don’t owe this all to TSA PreCheck, I will say it definitely started my day off in the right direction. My due date is approaching, and it’s unlikely I will be making any additional trips in the near future. Therefore, when I do travel again, I know I won’t be able to rely on my bump! I will definitely be looking into applying for TSA PreCheck, hoping for continued stress-free travel! — Olivia Falcione, advertising manager
