This past weekend I was able to set aside some time for some much-needed “retail therapy” at the King of Prussia Mall, only about 20 minutes from me. If you haven’t been, I would highly suggest you go because it is really the “king” of all malls. If it doesn’t meet your needs, I would be surprised. They really do have everything: It’s the largest mall in the United States (by retail space), so you should set aside at least three hours.
As you would imagine, I needed to get a good meal in before the day of shopping, so I ate at Grand Lux Cafe, conveniently placed right inside the mall. Breakfast is the most important meal, especially if you had an agenda like mine. Luckily for me, Grand Lux Cafe had a great brunch menu. Between omelets, quesadillas, hash and more, I had to go with a classic, “The Best” Eggs Benedict with Ham & Hollandaise. This hollandaise could be the best I have ever had! The ham was also just as good, and it was the perfect portion for me to do a little credit card damage for the day without getting tired after too big a meal. Check it out if you’re in the area. One thing they are known for is their desserts, specially baked to order and taking about 30 minutes to prepare, so you know you will be getting a fresh-baked option. My favorite is the molten chocolate cake.
