From my personal experience, New Jersey and New York have the best pizza in the United States. I’m not sure why, but they are just on a different level when it comes to pizza. Philadelphia, on the other hand, really needs to step up its game. I have yet to find a place in Philadelphia that can compare to New Jersey and New York pizza. Even Penn Station has better pizza places than Philadelphia. In fact, there are two pizza places in Penn Station every pizza lover should know about. The first is Don Pepi’s, located on the upper level. The service is extremely fast and the slices are thin and crispy. The only problem with Don Pepi’s is there is never enough seating available. The other pizza place I must mention, and my favorite pizza place in Penn Station, is Rose Pizza, located on the lower level. Rose’s slices are thin and crispy like Don Pepi’s, except they use a cornmeal coating on the crust. The cornmeal-covered crust adds a great texture to the pizza. The service is also very fast, and there is usually plenty of seating, unlike Don Pepi’s. Once you try pizza at Don Pepi’s and Rose’s, you will be a customer for life. — Matt McNeal, account executive
