We are just one month away from The New York Times Travel Show, open to the public March 1–2. The exhibition couldn’t come at a better time; who isn’t planning vacations at this time of year? Especially those of us in areas of the country who would consider 32 degrees a warm day at this point!

With more than 500 destinations on display, the show allows attendees to explore a world of travel possibilities in a single day. Seminars are available throughout both days. Highlights include new travel developments, tips for bargain hunters, cruising and maximizing credit cards to earn free travel. And that is just topics from day one!

The Family Fun Zone offers opportunities for little ones to enjoy an adventure of their own, including scaling a 24-foot rock climbing wall and meeting animal ambassadors from SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment.

As you explore the show, don’t forget to taste the global cuisine offered throughout the exhibition. Food is half the fun of travel, isn’t it? You can sample breakfast from Barcelona, chicken curry from Malaysia, the flavors of Puerto Rico and many others.

Global Traveler readers needn’t look far for travel inspirations. However, the opportunity to learn about so many different cultures and sample cuisines in a single place is certainly something that is hard to pass up for the travel lover in us all.
