Fall is officially here! It still feels like summer in the Northeast, but, nonetheless, I am excited for my favorite season.

We kicked off fall in my neighborhood by hosting bands for our town’s Porchfest. My husband and I love hosting and celebrating the annual music festival and were excited to host after missing the last two years. Once our porch was clear, we took the opportunity to start decorating for the upcoming holidays with pumpkins and some Halloween decorations.

Coming off of a busy summer, my husband and I purposely didn’t overbook ourselves for the remainder of 2025. However, we still have some fun things planned over the coming months to celebrate the season.

We visit New York City later this month to see Waiting for Godot on Broadway. The performance stars actors and real-life friends Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter. The rest of October we plan to keep it local, attending some festivals in our town and an annual Halloween block party.

We are planning to visit our friends who live in Tucson, Arizona, in November. Our friend group tries to plan a trip each year where we all come together in a new destination. With work and life schedules often conflicting, we’re prioritizing time together instead of coordinating a trip to a new destination and staying with our friends.
