I played golf with a client this past weekend and casually mentioned that Global Traveler would be celebrating its 10th anniversary in February 2014. We are gearing up for the big date with the 10 preceding issues focusing on the “Top 10” in several categories. As the resident golf expert and writer of our golf column, I have the pleasure of reviewing my golf articles and selecting the top 10.
As you can imagine, I have played a great number of different courses from the famed Pebble Beach and Old Course in Scotland to the lesser known but possibly better courses like Weihai Point Hotel & Golf Resort in Yuan Yao Village, Shandong province of China and Trump National Golf Club in California, where I played this weekend. Ten of the courses I reviewed will be covered in the June 2013 issue. In May, Lisa Matte will select her favorite chefs. Following months will cover the best flights, wines, hotels and many more, building to the 10th anniversary issue. I think it will be very interesting reading!
