This Monday through Wednesday is the annual Global Traveler company-wide conference and my first time attending. The event is being held in Atlantic City at the Tropicana, offering staff who have been very gracious hosts. The Tropicana offers several different event spaces, including multiple boardrooms, perfect for meetings of around 20 or so, with a wide array of catering services. While in Atlantic City, we also have the opportunity to visit a few restaurants in the area, including the Continental Atlantic City, which reserved a private room for us for the first evening. The restaurant is both a fun and stylish venue, and I was very pleased with the dining options. We had a pre-set menu, with several different family-style appetizers, entrées and desserts, including some delicious Chilean sea bass, lobster macaroni and cheese and teriyaki filet mignon. Everyone seemed to be pleased with the selections at the bar as well. Overall, I’ve been thoroughly pleased with the Tropicana and its staff thus far and feel that they provide everything needed for a successful business affair, while their location also provides plenty of options for after-hours fun. — Holly Godbey, marketing & sales assistant
